The weather was bright and sunny and the crowds turned out. There were boats everywhere. We estimate there were over 160 boats on show. Large numbers of the public came to look and a number expressed interest in joining the club, or asked where they could find out about their local club.
Model boaters came from far and wide to enjoy the two days of events staged by www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk. Martin and Bradders had worked extremely hard as usual to ensure everyone had something to interest them. The i/c boats of varying types put on a display. The MPBA and the Offshore Powerboat Association were quite keen to hold an event on the main lake next year. Wicksteed Park Management saw the display and have agreed that the boats can run on the main lake out of season!
